Creating our own sentences /

We have thought of lots of different vocabulary we have built up in literacy this week that we associate with pirates, we then worked in partners to create our own sentences using as many words on the board as possible. All children in class 1 showed lots of perseverance and resilience throughout this literacy lesson and the sentences created were amazing. Children checked their sentence structure, particularly focusing on reading it back to make sure it makes sense. We then read the sentences back to everyone and underlined the vocabulary used and added more! Well done 🙂

Nursery Sports Day /

What a fantastic day we have had today! Lots of running from all the children and even the families who came to watch! All the children did brilliantly and what better way to finish the day than with an ice cream. Thank you to Mrs Gregory for organising, all the families and children for attending and taking part so enthusiastically and to the Y6’s who came to help us out. Here are a few photos from both morning and afternoon.

Class 2 are learning about time  /

The children have taken part in different activities such as writing numbers, building towers and seeing how many star jumps they can do in 1 minute. They took it in turns to use a stop watch to time their friends. We have learnt that there are 60 seconds in 1 minute. The children have also enjoyed exploring clocks making O’clock and half past independently. Can your child tell you about the different hands on a clock and read the time at home?
