From both Mr Fearon and myself we would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all our cards, gifts and well wishes for summer. It has been an absolute pleasure to teach each and every one of your children over the last year! We are extremely grateful for all of your support and help and hope you have a fantastic summer!

Enjoy! See you in September.

Round Up! /

Round up, catch up! Our blog has seemed a little bare recently so here’s what we have been up to over the last few weeks!

This is Class 7 using their ICT skills to create an algorithm during coding.

During Golf week, some of us were able to learn new skills!

Our Science week taught us all about humans, including animals. We had so much fun creating our own poo whilst we learnt all about the digestive system and how it works!

We have worked hard over the last few weeks and we will continue to work just as hard for the final two weeks! 🙂

Quest Myth Gathering /

As part of our Literacy topic this half term, we are writing our own Quest Myth. A hero who finds himself taking on  an adventure to find a piece of treasure which will help him defeat the bad!

We have worked really hard creating setting descriptions for the different mythical places he journeys through. We had a lot of fun going out in to the woods to explore using our senses. We thought about what we could see, hear, feel and smell and back in the classroom we were able to put this into a word bank ready to use in our writing.

Ain’t No Mountain High Enough /

We are very excited to have Miss Stacey in Class 7, this term!

As part of our topic ‘Extreme Explorers’, we have decided to learn the song

‘Ain’t No Mountain High Enough’

There are many versions of this, the children have been asked to explore some versions but with parental guidance to ensure it is appropriate.

I have also attached a couple of links below.

Enjoy! 🙂

Easter Homework Y3&Y4 /

We want you to have a fantastic holiday over Easter but be ready to come back in the Summer term full of beans!

Some of you have been given some homework packs to complete over Easter. This is so you don’t forget about you’re school learning whilst you’re having fun too 🙂

Finally, our topic next term is based around Geography so it would be nice if over Easter you could give us some information about the places you visit. This could be simply a different town, or even a different country.

we love geo

Can you blog:

Where did you visit?

What town or city is it in?

What region is it in?

What country is it in?

Can you describe the place a little? What human and physical characteristics did you see?

Any photos are also welcome!

Have a lovely Easter! Keep blogging! 🙂

An Eggcellent Week /

Take a look at what the Year 3’s and the rest of the Year 4’s have been up to this week. They have used their performance and drama skills to retell the Easter story and created some eggtastic papier mache eggs.

We followed this by an egg hunt in our classroom!

Have a lovely Easter guys and be sure to keep checking the blog for updates!
