This week we found a mysterious bag of items of items. We spent lots of time predicting who it could belong to…

We then discovered it was Mr Stink’s bag! We have spent today getting to know the lovable tramp. To help us understand the character more we did some hot seating. This will help us write a character description later in the week .

We were so excited when we received the letter from YSP asking Year 2 to help create an art exhibition called ‘Colour and Emotion’. This week we are visiting YSP to learn more about sculpture to inspire our own creations!

We had  a wonderful time at Yorkshire Wildlife Park last week. We saw lots of different animals! We had a workshop that helped us learn more about them & supported our learning in science!

Wentworth Woodhouse trip! /

We had an amazing day yesterday on our trip to Wentworth Woodhouse & the village of Wentworth. We spent the morning on a tour of the stately home and completed a quiz. It was extremely interesting!

The theme for Science week was change.  We investigated reversible & irreversible changes. We found out that heating chocolate was a reversible change & heating bread was an irreversible change. We loved carrying out these experiments especially as we got to eat some toast!

Last week  we had a special visitor in Class 6! Mrs Cowdell brought a hedgehog in for us to see. She has been looking after some hedgehogs through the winter who wouldn’t have survived in the wild. We loved seeing a hedgehog up close!

On Safer Internet Day we all dressed in black as a mark of anonymity. During the day we learnt about how to stay safe on the Internet & how to create an avatar to use instead of a photo.
