Well I cannot believe it is already the end of the 5th week of the school year. Again it has been a week packed full of fantastic learning opportunities. Children are really getting into their topics, this week I’ve seen exploding rockets, World War 1 trenches and seen children researching about what fair trade is. Next week we have a refugee project to look forward to in Y5/6 looking closely at what it is like to be a refugee. It was also great to see so many people involved in the Family Autumn craft event on Tuesday, please come along and enjoy the KS2 Autumn Family craft event on Tuesday next week (7th October) which will be run by Mrs Davies in the hall. Finally good luck to the Y3/4 pupils in their Hockey this afternoon.
This week’s stars of the week have been selected for a wide variety of reasons including fantastic work at the McMillan Coffee Morning, for writing a brilliant story ending, for amazing effort and hard work, and for a great attitude in maths and for trying hard all week, well done to you all, hope you enjoyed dining with the stars.
This weeks attendance was 96.5%, well done and let’s keep up the great attendance for the remainder of the term. As ever if there is anything about your child’s education you wish to discuss please do not hesitate to contact myself or one of the Hoyland Common Primary School Team.
