Gladiators and Emperors

By 3

Today we started our brand new topic!

We were each asked to pick a ticket out of a box. On it was written either ‘Gladiator’ or ‘Emperor’.

Then we had to stay in role all morning!

Gladiators had to wash the Emperor’s hands then make wrist bands with long threads to hold on to by the other Gladiators.

The Emperors made themselves laurel headbands to wear. They were allowed extra playtime and got treats such as drinks and sweets!

We all had a great first morning back. Well done to everyone for getting involved and staying in character. Here’s to a great term.

Why do we make New Years Resolutions?

By 1

This weeks question is “Why do we make New Years Resolutions?” We discussed in assembly the fact that people make them to set themselves a goal or a challenge for the year, however most of us will have already broken our New Years Resolution 1 week in!

So, this week we would like you to think about why should we set ourselves a resolution? What do we achieve from these? What new years resolutions have you already set yourself? Why do you think people struggle to stick to their new years resolutions?
