Our festival winning dancers ripping up the dance floor in celebration assembly this afternoon!
If Hoyland Common did stars of the week, they’d probably be the best stars in the world!
During Spring term so far Year 1 have taken part in a range of fantastic activities including the Visit to Yorkshire Wildlife Park, World Book Day, Red nose day and Science week (learning all about the digestive system). Parents can visit Seesaw to see photos from some of these events.
During World Book Day last week Class 3 enjoyed looking at the book Perfectly Norman. Each child designed and created their own feather (unique to them) which we then pieced together to make Normans wings.
Excellent effort this morning Class 5!
On Wednesday we attended an athletics tournament at the English Institute of Sport, Sheffield. We took part in a variety of events including the 60m sprint, 100m sprint, 200m sprint, standing long jump, javelin, relay and mixed relay across the afternoon. We did that well that we managed to come 2nd place out of 21 schools! Here are our Y5/6’s showing off their silver medals shortly after collecting them.
