Last week, as part of Science Week, year 4 started to investigate sound. We looked into what sound is, how we hear and how differently it travels depending on varying factors. In order to investigate this, we used a decibel reader to read different sounds around us. We estimated before recording the actual decibels.
Class 10, what was the highest decibel reading that you recorded? How can you describe the change in the sound waves dependent on the sound made? Your homework, across this week, is to explore the sounds around you at home. Can you estimate the decibel reading or record it?
