The children have really impressed me with how well they have matched number to quantity. They have also used an addition number machine to add two single digit numbers together. We used magic marbles and mini beasts to make potions using our special machine. The children supported each other and were able to explain the methods used. Some children added 3 and then 4 groups together with confidence. During child initiated time children also found different ways of making numbers up to 20 and wrote number sentences.
