Who can explain the shutter up/down method for working out character viewpoint and perception?

Katelyn
We used a roll on the wall to explain how a character feels like on the inside and has to be on the outside. After we drew our person, we used one colour to show others how a specific person we were given felt on the inside, and another for the outside. When we were finished the other tables had to guess who our character was. Olivia also pretended to be the landlord and how his shutter up and shutter down works.

I really enjoyed creating a role on the wall for the guards so much that I have decided to write about following them round.
