Well what a fabulous week it has been for both pupils and staff alike. Today children across school have been learning about Williams Syndrome as part of Williams Syndrome Awareness day and children have all been wearing pink, red and hearts in support of this. In other news today the school football team will be playing Elsecar and West Meadows, good luck to all involved.
This week has also been staff wellbeing week, and a range of different activities have been run to keep all staff healthy both in body and mind and staff have been undertaking random acts of kindness to their fellow colleagues!
This week Y2 children have completed their KS1 SATS, all of whom have put in 100% effort and tried their hardest. Well done to you all. Y3/4 Pupils this week have taken up the role of food critics, reviewing the Roman food they made last week, I’m glad I don’t have a restaurant, they make Gordon Ramsey look timid!
Pupils in Foundation stage have been further exploring the nature area and finding a whole host of tadpoles, frogs and other mini beasts.
Stars of the week this week have been selected for a whole host of different reasons including inspiring their classmates to do better in Maths, always being kind and helpful, greater depth and understanding and improved concentration.
Attendance has been a little low this week at 95.5%, however Mr Hastey’s class did achieve 100%, let’s make sure we hit our target for the Summer and particularly next week and as ever if there is anything you wish to discuss or share in relation to your child’s education please do not hesitate to contact myself or one of the HCPS team.
