Today Y5 grilled our local MP Stephanie Peacock. She attended a 45 minute Q&A session in the school hall.
We were all really proud of the mature, responsible approach from our children.
Stephanie commented, that hopefully in the Hall was a future Member of Parliament for Barnsley East!
What did we learn about democracy from our visitor?
It was very interesting to learn more about our local M.P Stephanie Peacock. My favourite question was what was her maiden speech about and she answered Grenfell Tower explosion.
I was very nervous when she first walked in but when we got talking I was excited.
I really enjoyed meeting Stephanie Peacock. My favourite question was how did you feel on your first day ? She said I felt nervous and excited.
I was of school on this day so I did not get to meet Stephanie Peacock but I’m sure it was a blast. My friends seem to have loved it.
Today we met Stephanie Peacock i was nervous and we got to ask some questions like “what was your first day like?
exciting and nervous”
It was very interesting learning about Stephanie Peacock. My favourite question was how big is the house of commons she replied “It is not as big as you think.”
I was really exited when Stephanie came I couldn’t wait to ask her a question. My favourite question was what was your maiden speech about which I found intriguing because it was about the Grenfell tower disaster.
I like her lifestyle and I found her job interesting and would like to be an MP.
I enjoyed it because we learnt a lot about Stephanie Peacock. My favourite part was learning about why she quit being a teacher:)
It was interesting to here her answers from the questions. She was really nice to us all and I had a fun time. I hope I see her again.
I was nervous but when we got talking I wanted to find out more about Stephanie.
I really enjoyed Stephanie’s visit to our school . She told us lots of interesting facts about her job. My favourite question that got asked was, if you could change one thing about your job what would it be ? Her answer was take out all of the shouting and disagreement . Also to be able to help everyone . This lesson was really interesting . Thank you Stephanie for your visit .
I had a really great time finding out all the answers to my questions.
I found her visit very interesting and would love to become an MP one day and be like Stephanie.
Meeting a MP was amazing. I hope we can meet more it was great.

I really enjoyed when Stephanie Peacock came to school and answered all our Questions. My questions were How long was your maiden speech and she said 5 mins. Also she spoke all about the Grenfell tower attack.
I though it was fantastic. She was very nice and I hope to see her again .
I found Stephanie’s chat really interesting and fun. We found out loads of answers to over peoples questions and found some answers of my own! and we also acted like real mps we stood up whilst telling our questions! This is one is my favorite questions why did she want to be in the labor party? To make a difference.
I really enjoyed meeting Stephanie Peacock. I hope to meet her again.
I really enjoyed this lesson because of the results we got and I could not believe that Stephany peacock was actually in school my favourite question and answer was when do you start and finish work the answer is 8am to 8pm. 🙂

I really liked Stephanie Peacock visiting us and she answered a lot of questions.

I really enjoyed it because it is a one in a life time opportunity to meet an MP. One of my questions was…what inspired you to become an MP.
I found out about Stephanie’s daily life as an MP In London we went into the hall and we were split into two halves of the hall one with miss Eyre’s side the other with Mr T’s. I really enjoyed the visit.
I really enjoyed asking Stephanie Peacock questions about what she does for a living. One of my questions was what is the worst part of your job.
When Stephanie came i was excited yet nervous!
