Pastoral Support

At Hoyland Common Primary School, we are committed to providing the highest quality pastoral care for every child and family within our community. We recognise that children thrive when they feel happy, safe and supported, and we work together to nurture their emotional wellbeing as well as their academic success.

Every member of staff plays an important role in supporting our pupils’ personal, social and emotional development. We value strong partnerships with families and are always available to listen, offer support and help overcome any barriers that may affect a child’s wellbeing, attendance or learning.

Our dedicated pastoral team consists of:

• Mrs Jane Robinson – Assistant Headteacher and SENDCO
• Miss Laura Davies – Learning Mentor
• Miss Ruby O’Neill – Attendance Officer (MAT Leave)
• Mrs Rebecca Allen – Attendance Officer

Together, the team works closely with pupils, families, staff and external agencies to ensure that every child receives the support they need to flourish both in and out of the classroom.
