It was like a zoo with people throwing scunshed piecess of paper at people and shouting at each other. I have found out so much about democracy in the lessons this year!
We learned about the House of Commons and the House of Lords. We got to see some of the things that they use in the House of Commons . Even tho I don’t live in the same area l enjoyed when we leaned about the Mayor and the Town Hall.

I really enjoyed doing our topic with Mr Rob and I liked it when we did the election because we could debate about what people said and throw paper balls at people. I liked it how Roman and Finley Woodruff started a big debate and Roman was sent out of the room. I also liked how found out about democracy and we met Councilor Andrews, Stephany Peacock and how we went to the Town Hall to meet the Mayor.

I really enjoyed the election. I loved being the agent for the British Democracy party. I also loved doing the speech for the election. The atmosphere was astonishing and it actually felt like the real elections. Roman actually threw a piece of paper at Billy and Jhy like in the Houses of Parliament. I had so much fun doing it. I loved meeting Stephanie Peacock, the Mayor and Counciller Andrews this year during our Democracy topic.

I really enjoyed the election. The MP’s and the agent’s voices waere really clear so you could hear them well. It was fun to watch Roman throw a piece of paper at Jhy and Billy. I would really love it if we would do something like this again. It was so much fun.
I also enjoyed it when Stephanie Peacock came in and answered some of our questions about her job as an MP.

I was very amazed on how realistic it was because there was lots of dibates and I thought the way MP’s asked other Mp’s how they would do that certan things. i wish we could it agian.
This year was great because we got to meet the Mayor ,Stephanie Peakock and cCuncillor Andrews and got to ask them questions about democarcy in our country.

I found it ALL amazing! It was super funny when Roman threw the scrunched up paper at one of our MPs and everyone had good ideas. This topic was and will always be my favourite. Can’t wait for what we do next Mr Rob.
This year I enjoyed meeting the Mayor, councillor Andrews and Stephanie Peacock and asking them questions. I also loved making our own political parties. Democracy has been a excellent learning experience.

When we ran the election I realy enjoyed it because I got to hear what other MP’s had to say. I was realy surprised when Roman began to yell but it was quite funny. I hope we do more.
Befor the election we were tought a lot of things and we had a few visitors. We also serched on the internet about the Magna Carta. I think the most interesting thing we found on the internet was about how laws are made.

I really enjoyed acting as an audince but I didn’t agree with some peoples speeches. It felt like it was for real. It got a little bit rowdy. I loved learning about democracy. Especialy when we saw the Mayor and Stephanie Peackock.

I’ve really enjoyed this topic and I hope we will be allowed to do something like this in the future. I particularly enjoyed it to the visit to the town hall. The Mayor was called Councillor Ennis

I thought that the debates and fighting was very real and felt like I was in the House of Commons. It was amazing with the MP’s standing up and answering the questions. I loved the topic and I learnt alot about political party’s. I loved the meetings with the party and it was lots of fun.
I met the mayor at the Town Hall and we got to walk round the building. Then we got to go into the coucil chamber and ask him questions about “How long do you work a week”. We all got to go to the mayors parlour and looked at all of the things from the past.

I enjoyed this election that we did! I was the agent of the British United party and my favourite part was when Roman stood up and threw paper and when everyone was putting their votes in the Ballot box!
This year I also enjoyed meeting Stephanie Peakcock and the Mayor of Barnsley and when we asked questions and he/she answered.

I really enjoyed doing the election. Some of the MP’s ideas were raising taxes and this made me think about whether I should vote for them because they were making us and the public pay more money
Also I really enjoyed meeting the Mayor of Barnsley we got to lok at his robes and hat. He also showed us around the Town hall like where his office. The most amazing place in the town hall was a wall full with names off past Mayors. From the start of the year we have learned about democracy and I am really happy about living in a country that is a democracy.

I really enjoyed being the MP for our group (national life party).I was really nervous when I stood in front of a crowd. I found it exciting creating our party because we didn’t argue once and I would love do another election.
This year we have learnt about democracy and what democracy can be like. In our country everyone is allowed to vote once and only once.

I’ve realy enjoyed the democracy experience with Mr.Robinson. The time when we went to the town hall and met the mayor and toured the building. Inthe town hall, we got to see the paintings of all the mayors who were once the mayor of Barnsley. At the time when councler Andrews came in and we asked him some of our questions. The moment Stephanie Peakock entered the room, I had alot of questions to ask her about how she’s going to solve her problems. Democracy is so important to our lives.

I really enjoyed Troy’s visit and he shared his story with us about what happend to his friend. It was devistating abd it took Troy a long time to recover. Now he is working hard to raise money for his friends. What a hero!

I realy enjoyed this lesson, the ideas the other groups came up with were really good. I thought our agent Carla and MP Billy did a really good job with their speeches.

This year i really enjoyed learning about democracy the thing i enjoyed the most was when we got to create our own party called the British Democracy party (in MrT’s class)
our members in our party were Me,Carla,Megan,Billy,James and Alex.

I wasn’t here on this day when the people of y5 voted and presentated there party’s manifesto but I am so grateful I was part of the British democracy party I hope all y5 enjoyed doing the voting and presentation.
This year I enjoyed learning about democracy and being able to make our very own party named the British democracy party. loved making and coming up with different logos and different name for the party.
It was great when we visited the Mayor of Barnsley and getting to ask him questions about his job and i also enjoyed meeting Stephany Peacock and asking her questions about what it is like to be a Mp I thought by the way she explained what it was like to be an Mp it kinda made me want to be an Mp.

I was very unhappy that I missed the election but I did help create the party and set up the publicity.
I really enjoyed doing an interveiw with Stephanie Peacock the whole of year 5 went into the hall and asked Stephanie questions about her job and what she does for us. She said we were all future MPs.

I LOVED when we were in the hall/ houses of Parliament and especially when the agents (including me) introduced The MP wich in my case was Molly Dickinson. My introduction Speech was pretty good (in my opinion) and Mollys speech was really convincing (again in my opinion).I think that 11people agreed with me because we/the Civic Party won the vote!

I wish I was there im devastated that I did not see the drama. I enjoyed helping with the pollitical party. I realy enjoyed when Stephanie Peacock came and we got ask some questions about democracy and why she wanted to become a MP. I asked her what she thought about North Korea but she did not know much about Nort Korea so she sent me a letter about what she thought about North Korea she said it was a terrible place and it was unfair. We went to the town hall to see Mayor Eniss and we asked Mayor some questions about if he likes his job. Councillor Andrews came in and we asked him questions about Hoyland and if he likes his job, how long he has been in council and if any of his family members have been on council.

I loved leaning new interesting things and working with my group as a team. My favourite part was the part when was going into the hall and being an Mp’s and agents. The funny part was when Roman was shouting out and being silly.
I loved meeting the mayor and when Stephanie Peacock came and visited our school we asked lots of questions and i enjoyed it!

I really enjoyed this lesson because it was like being in the House of Parliament. I really enjoyed it because I learned a lot about House of Parliament. Molly Dickinson was the MP, Joseph was the agent, me(frankie) and Heidi were the chair people and Arlo and Roman were the designer for the posters. The funniest part was when Roman was shouting and being silly.
