Its Friday again! The weeks are flying by here at HCPS with all the fantastic learning that is happening throughout school with children immersed in their learning and topic work!!
News from the week –
The Foundation Stage Ducks now have a new home outside, feel free to pop in and visit them in their new house situated in the FS Playground – a huge THANK YOU as well to our fabulous caretaker Theresa who donated £50 toward their new home and even used her weekend to build it for Blitzen and Prancer!
Mr Hastey’s classroom has been the epi centre of the titanic wreck site this week with children using their programming skills to navigate their way through an “underwater” maze to find the remains of the titanic! The children have been submerged almost literally but I think Mr Hastey will be glad to get his classroom back to normal next week!
Year 6 visited the Maritime Museum in Liverpool on Wednesday to further enhance their learning and their topic work. They were able to uncover objects from the Titanic, find out about life at sea and learn about the port of Liverpool.
This weeks “Stars of the Week”, have been chosen for a number of different reasons, being an exceptional role model to their peers, use of descriptive language in literacy, 100% effort, grasp of numeracy and being helpful and friendly and a pleasure to teach.
Have a great weekend and we look forward to seeing you all again on Monday ready for another week of learning!
