This week we have looked at the life of Jo Cox, MP for Batley in West Yorkshire. A woman described as ‘a credit to herself, her community, and her country in the work she performed for Oxfam and other organisations, devoting herself to seeking to better the lot of those less fortunate than her.’
Due to her personal beliefs and values she lost her life striving to do good for others.
What have you learned from this terrible crime and how does this make you feel?
It made me feel upset and sad. Jo Cox sounded like the most caring person in Britain.
I think that’s wrong because she was the nicest person you could ever meet.
I think whoever shot and killed her should be in prison forever.
Jo Cox wanted to make the world a better place!!!!
She was just one ordinary woman who wanted to make the world a better place and to think she thought about someone else while being attacked is just amazing .She was probably the nicest and most kind hearted woman someone could meet.
All she wanted to do is make the world a better place. She was kind, nice and lovely.
This is very upsetting to think that an ordinary caring person can go to work and not return home to her children, because of intolerance.
She was a kind and helpful lady . She tried to make the world a better place, she was one of the nicest women in the world.
Why did she have to die because she was just doing her job. How could such a lovely lady get hate. He must of been a bad bad man. How were he aloud to hate.
I think it is wrong because Jo Cox sounds like a caring person and I wish I could I have met her.
I think it is wrong to kill an inascent person because what has she done to harm the killer?
Jo Cox was a nice helpful person to people who needed help and people that don’t have family.

I don’t know why you would kill a nice person like that.
It’s not fare that she got killed because she did good stuff for her community.

Why! Why! Why would someone do that to such a happy loved considerate person and Thomas Mair 100% deserved a life sentence in prison.
Why would someone do this?
All she tried to do was a good job of keeping other countries safe from war and helped children build a bigger future. Then this man he thought she was wrong and to decided to kill her and when he was going to kill her she only thought about her friend and told her to run and then this old man almost sacrificed his life for Jo Cox .
It’s a real tragedy and the definition of hate ????

I think this is wrong because she was only trying to make the country a better place to live in and I also think that people are stupid if they do do something like that.
