Good afternoon Class 11,

I hope you’re all enjoying the snow and making the most of snow day number 2! I’d love to see or hear about how you’ve all been keeping busy in the snow.

If you’re running out of ideas apart from the obvious snowball fights and building snowmen, then take a look at these…

  1. Identify snow tracks: Take a walk with your family and look out for animal tracks in the snow. See if you can decide which animal might have made them by observing the size and shape of thm. Make it into a competition and see who can identify the most tracks.
  2. Paint the snow: Grab some food colouring and mix with a little water. Find yourself a nice patch of snow and paint a picture or you can either decorate your snowman.
  3. Build a fort: If it’s starting to get a little too cold outside, then build yourself a fort with blankets and cushions. You could watch a movie or read one of your favourite books.
  4. Observe some snowflakes: If we get any more snow, then get a coloured piece of paper and catch the snow flakes as they fall. Use a magnifying glass to observe what they look like up close.

I hope you’re all having fun and staying safe! Let me know what you’re getting up to and I hope to see you all soon.
