Today we discussed the word ‘hate’ and how we often say this when we mean ‘I don’t like.’
Do we really hate? Why should we be more tolerant of each other?

I FEEL REALLY SORRY FOR THAT BOY AND IT IS NOT FAIR THAT HE IS BEING BLOWN UP BECAUSE OF THE WAY HE IS. IF SOMEONE TREATS SOMEONE DIFFERENT BECAUSE THEY LIKE SOMETHING DIFFERENT I WILL BE SO UPSET. PLEASE GET WELL SOON LITTLE BOY.
Yes I think that we all should be tolerant and never hate anything!
It’s not fair! Just because Omrans family thinks or believes some thing else that his family has been killed. Also I think we should all be tolerant and not hate anyone.
People should never say I hate you because it’s intolerant and never say bad words or shout.
I don’t think it’s fair because what could a 5 year old do to prevent getting blown up?
It’s not fair because they think or believe something others don’t. They blow them up because they could do the same for not believing what they think. Omrans family is not intolerant.
HATE IS A STRONG WORD!
Discussed with my mum HATE and tolerance, my mum always tells us to do to others as you would have done to you, so I always try my best to be kind to others in the hope that they are kind to me. I think this is a good way to be.
I don’t think that people shouldn’t say I HATE because it’s intolerant. It’s ok if Omans family think or believe in something else. I also think that we should all be tolerant and respect each overs ideas and don’t laugh if someone gets into trouble.

I have just had an enlightening conversation with Erin about hate and intolerance.
Erin said “I don’t hate anything, I just don’t like certain things, but I know I say sometimes I hate something”
“I have to think more mum as hate is a word I really don’t want to use”.
It certainly made me and her dad think!!
