Today Debs came to show us what is happening inside our eggs. She brought a special light that shone through the egg shells and showed us what was inside, this is called ‘candling the eggs’. We could see the blood vessels in the egg that told us that the chick was beginning to grow.

We looked at the inside of another egg. Can you remember what the chick would use for food and water while it was growing inside the egg? What were the tiny white string like things we saw for?

Can you remember what we need to do next week to prepare for the chicks hatching on Wednesday?
