I was very impressed how some of Y4H gave a lot of thought to their chosen World Book Day character. Linking them to their own favourite books or other famous pieces of literature.

Most of the children were able to share with the class who their character was, which book or series of books they were from and a wide range of information on the author, character and storylines.

I was particularly blown away by Edward Kilners’ passion for David Walliams book Gangster Granny, and how he was eager to share with the class, a detailed full re-telling of the story. Including his own opinion on the plot and characters. This enthusiasm for reading is what World Book Day is all about!

And here they are…

Can you tell others abit about your character and the book (or series of books) that character comes from?
