It has been another busy week at Hoyland Common, with the main event of the week being the Y5/6 performance of William Shakespeare’s ‘Richard III’ at the Lamproom Theatre on Tuesday. The cast performed to a full house and certainly did impress, it was an amazing performance and the children were a real credit to the school, we really do have some brilliantly talented actors and actresses.
The stars of the week this week have been selected for demonstrating ‘that little something extra’ in a wide variety of areas, from hard work in literacy and numeracy, to having improved attendance and having a fantastic attitude to everything they do.
This weeks attendance is 96.2%, again thank you for your continued efforts to ensure attendance is as high as it possibly can be. You should by now have all received your appointments for parents evening, if you have not arranged an appointment please do not hesitate to contact your child’s teacher to arrange an appointment.
As ever if you have anything you wish to discuss about your child’s education or any other issues, please do not hesitate to contact me.

I was in the Shakespeare play and really enjoyed it and all the support we had was amazing. I was also on dinning with the stars on Friday 28th. I was on dinning with the stars because of excellent use of my
homework diary.
