Wow! Was such a great morning with the class. Kicked off by the classes singing lesson with Miss Stacey.

It is always a pleasure to have Miss Stacey in school working with the children on their singing.

Every child loves the lessons and looks to enjoy themselves immensely. But not only this, they learn a great deal about the technical aspects to singing, gain a vast understanding of musical vocabulary, practice rhythm and timing and even look at musical notation. On top of all that they get to learn and sing many new and interesting songs, some from far around the world.

Today I was especially impressed with the pupils who put themselves forward to try a solo in leading the call and response song ‘Kye Kye Kule’ (from the playgrounds of Africa). In fact I can’t get it out of my head! A very catchy song!
