Container painting (it might not be quite what you were expecting!)

Container painting? My first thoughts were containers for storing pencils, scissors maybe even plant pot holders. I was very wrong!
We have been given the task of cheering up the metal storage container that Foundation Stage use to store their outdoor equipment. A bit bigger than the containers I was expecting!
Today has been creating our designs day. We have to create four 1 metre square pieces of artwork based on the theme ‘the elements’. Keep a look out for more posts as our work progresses.

This is very good becaues it’s fire. I enjoyed this activity, it was good painting on the big boards.

I like the flaming picture because the flames are different colours and they are very wiggly. I also like this picture because the painting is very good.

There are four elements. There is fire, fire is hot horrible and nasty.
There is water, water is cold kind and you can swim in it.
There is air, the sun and clouds are in he air.
There is earth, the earth has plants and grass.
My favourite picture is fire because it is sparcy and hot.

I love doing the container painting because first I got to plan it , second it was fun because I got to paint Jacobs painting with him and that is that for now. I like all of the paintings because they have lots of deateal.

I went to see your completed pieces of artwork after you’d all gone home last night and wow I was so impressed! You’ve worked so hard on these and they are going to look fantastic when they’re put up. I like them all but if I had to pick a favourite I would say the water painting, the colours and design are beautiful.

Lola

This is Lolas Dad, Tony.

On friday I went to see what lola and her class were doing in Arts Week. I can say that the work they had been doing was first class stuff. The artwork was superb and the other things such as IT work was great too. Well done to all of you and especially lola and the rest of year 2. KEEP IT UP GUYS
