We’ve had lots of excitement today. We have been designing and making rockets. First we looked at rocket designs and talked about what might make then go higher and faster, some rockets had nose cones and fins, we thought this might help.
We used a film canister as our rocket body and added our extra parts using card and Sellotape. After lots of work and concentration it was time to launch our rockets. It was really difficult to get the rockets on camera as they shot up in the air really fast but you can see that it was quite spectacular by the looks on our faces.
Can you remember what we used as fuel? What was the force called that pushed the rockets up in the air? What was the force that made them come down again?
