Today the year 5 and 6 are taking part in a whole day workshop called ‘Refugee Education Experience’.
The day will provide a chance for the children to gain an understanding of the hardship other children from war torn countries around the world are going through, spending their lives in refugee camps.
One of the activities you can also access at home is available on the link below:

Let us know what you learn today, Y5/6!

Chantelle
I learnt that I eat 3 times as much food as a refugee and when you first go to a refugee camp you have to sleep in a huge tent with lots of other people untill there’s a mud brick house to transfer into.
Mr Hastey
Thank you for sharing some of what you learnt Chantelle(you can have a hp and chocolate football when we get back). It was hard to believe how little food the refugees had to live on especially when we compared this to the lists we made of what we might eat in a day.
