At Hoyland Common Primary School our overall aim is to promote and maintain good attendance for all our pupils.
When a child attends school on a regular basis, they take an important step towards reaching their full potential, and are given the greatest opportunity to learn new things and develop their skills. The more time a child spends around other children, whether in the classroom or as part of a school team or club, the more chance they have of making friends and feeling included, boosting social skills, confidence and self esteem

The 1st of December sees the start of our “Every School Day Counts” campaign to promote Attendance Awareness. All pupils with full attendance between the 1st of December and the 19th of December will receive a certificate, an attendance “bug” and will also be entered into a prize draw to win a VUE Meadowhall Cinema pass for 2 adults and 2 children.

The school wishes to encourage good time keeping and good attendance, and would appreciate parents support in this.
