It has been another fantastic and festive week at Hoyland Common Primary School. The week obviously started with parent’s evening on Monday and Tuesday and it was fabulous to hear so many positive comments from parents. If you still haven’t had chance to book an appointment please do contact your child’s class teacher.

Wednesday, Thursday and today saw performances of the KS1 Christmas Show and the Foundation Stage Nativity, which were both amazing, we really do have some very confident and very talented singers and actors, well done to you all and thank you so much for attending in such numbers. Today we were visited by our Local MP Michael Dugher, who presented the school winner of his annual Christmas card competition, well done Madison!

We are still in attendance awareness month and thank you again for your continued support, there are hundreds of children still with 100% attendance this month and ready to be entered into the Prize Draw for the Cinema tickets. It will also be great to find out who will win the prize for most improved attendance.

Stars of the week this week were selected for an array of reasons, including hard work and effort in literacy and numeracy and having a fantastic attitudes towards learning. Well done to you all and enjoy your dining with the stars today.

As ever if there is anything you wish to discuss about your child’s education please do not hesitate to come in and see either me or a member of staff.
