It has been another fantastic week of learning at HCPS. The highlight of the week was the Y1 visit to the Yorkshire Wildlife Park where the children saw a huge array of wonderful animals. Y3/4 Pupils completed their bronze fencing award and ten children were then selected to take part in a tournament alongside other schools and I am pleased to say that our school won and by a significant amount. The children are also demonstrating their fencing in assembly this afternoon.

Stars of the week this week have been selected for a wide variety of reasons including fantastic manners on the school trip, excellent work in reading, writing and maths, great attitude on the Y6 bike ride, and I think my favourite this week, for facing up to fears and trying something new. Well done to you all and enjoy dining with the stars.

Attendance this week has again been below the school target of 96.5%, let’s have a concerted effort across school over the next few week to ensure attendance is as high as it possibly can be.

We have a busy few weeks of school coming up including sports days for KS1 and KS2 on 16th June and 07th July, let’s keep our fingers crossed for good weather. Letters will be coming out today with information about the School Summer Fair on the 11th July, any donations will be much appreciated.

As ever if there is anything you wish to discuss about your child’s education please do not hesitate to contact me or one of the HCPS team.
