Last week everybody did some fantastic research to find out where the old Co-op used to be. We used the Internet, visited the library, read books, went on road trips and asked people who remembered how it used to be.
Next week we would like to invite some granddads and grandmas into school to tell us what the shops in Hoyland were like when they were little. What did they used to buy? Did they have pocket money? Did they run errands for their parents? Are any of the shops the same?
Please let us know if your granddad or grandma would like to come to our class next Tuesday (6th October) from 9.30am to talk to us.
Alternatively, find out what they know and blog it.

i would love my grandad and nanan to come to school but my mum and dad don’t come from Barnsley so my nanans and grandads have never lived in hoyland or anywhere near here.
