A huge “Welcome Back” to everyone for what I expect will be a wonderful final term of the academic year at HCPS.
Children have embarked on their new topics and these include – “Fairy Tales”, “All around the World”, “Walk on the wild side”, “Raiders and Invaders” and “The Olympics”! I am sure we will see some really creative pieces of writing, art work, maths genius and much more imaginative learning to really help the to understand and embrace their topic knowledge.
Nursery children this week have been showing us how they could be the “Master Chefs” of the future and using the kitchen to create some cakes and buns, understanding weights and measures and how these then create the tasty cakes they then tested out.
Foundation stage all had some feathery visitors this week in the form of new born chicks from “Parkside Farm”, Farmer Mason has promised that he will bring in some new born piglets when they are born so all the children are very excited for the new piggy arrivals.
Stars of the week have again been selected for a variety of reasons, including enthusiasm, superb Maths, attitudes to learning, resilience, being helpful and caring and also for brightening up everyone’s days. These are all attributes that we relish seeing in children at HCPS.
Attendance this week has been 97.5% with 3 class’s achieving 100%. Let’s keep this up into the summer and heading towards SATS season.
As ever if there is anything you wish to discuss with me or a member of the HCPS team, please do not hesitate to contact us.
