The end of another half term draws to a close today and it has seen a plethora of activity within school in all senses of the word.
Year 6 children have successfully completed their SATS tests in mid-May and the results of these will be shared at the start of July. It was very pleasing to witness their positive attitudes to the tests and their mature approach throughout.
May also saw Year 2 undertaking a variety of SATS tests too, again they approached them confidently and with brilliant “can do” attitudes.
This week has also been assessment week throughout the rest of school and children have excelled and shown a real passion for learning, even in more exam like conditions. Results of which will be shared with parents in the Annual Reports scheduled to go out at the beginning of July.
As well as the academic prowess, children have undertaken lots of other non-academia projects – including musical activities, an array of sporting events and some fabulous art work.
Starts of the week this week have been chosen again for really excelling – approaching their assessments with confidence, being delightful in the classroom, determination and encouraging others and resilience and independence – all attributes I love to see from the children at HCPS
Attendance this week has been 95.1%, a slight dip from previous weeks so please ensure that this continues to be high so that school reaches their target of 96.5% at the end of the Summer Term.
I wish you all a very happy half term and hope you all have a welcome break, as ever if there is anything you would like to share with me or a member of the HCPS Team, please do not hesitate to contact me.
