We have been comparing old and modern trains. We drew lots of different trains, we used different grades of pencil to shade our sketches. Can you remember some of the differences between old and modern trains? What technical words did we use to describe the trains?

Sophie
Steam trains are old and rusty. Modern trains use electric and diesel to go very fast.
Steam trains use smoke and coal to make it move. Modern trains don’t use coal and travel faster now.
Lots of people use modern trains now so they can go to places faster.
