WHat a brilliant turn out for our y2 maths morning thank you so much for coming we’re not sure who enjoyed it the most, pupils, staff or parents! Sorry if the photos appear upside down they won’t turn around!

I love maths morning
I like the 3D shapes because you could make a pyramid. I used blu tac to fasten the straws together.
I enjoyed doing the maths challenges because they were really fun and tricky! The trickiest one was the one when you had to share out the cupcakes into 4 baskets.
I liked the fishing for numbers game because it you had to find different numbers. I enjoyed maths morning because my mum came and helped me make a 3d house shape with a door.
I enjoyed maths morning and I went next door to Mrs Brusby’s class to do the colour by number sheets. I liked making the 3D shapes in our class, I made a cube, a cuboid and a pyramid. You couldn’t make a sphere because you can’t make a ball shape with straight straws.
I liked the odd and even post box. You had to sort the number into each post box. I enjoyed maths morning because parents could come and see our maths skills. My mum enjoyed the patterns activity, you had to make patterns with the wooden blocks.
I’m glad your Mum enjoyed Maths Morning Lucy. Why did she enjoy the shape activity so much?
I enjoyed the shapes activity as it was fun working with Lucy to make symmetrical patterns.
I went into Mrs Brusby’s class, I enjoyed the stick and circles game with Oliver B. Me and Oliver made glasses with them.
I enjoyed colouring the colour by numbers sheets with Freya. I loved the 3D shape building, I made a triangular prism, it was really tricky!
Building 3D shapes is much better than being at work!
That’s one of the reasons I love teaching. We get to do things like that every day! Thank you for blogging.
