Good afternoon and welcome to the end of another week of fantastic learning at HCPS!

This week has seen our Year 5s begin their bikeability training. I have been so impressed with their resilience, particularly putting up with the wet and windy weather conditions – I hope it improves for next week!

In FS pupils have been making comic strips using ‘Super Daisy’, while Y1 have been storyboarding their 3 little Pigs narratives. thanks you to all the parents who attending the Y1 phonics meetings last week.

In Y2 our children have had the smelly task of finding out about Mr Stink – and deciding what would happen if he had a lottery win. I have been so impressed with the engagement and quality of writing this term!

In Y3/4 this week, our pupils have had their last visit to the Apple store, where they have been busy learning about how to use IMovie to make their Batman films, while in Y5 I have been really impressed with problem solving using fraction and time in maths.

In Y6, final preparations are underway for our annual residential visit to Thornbridge activity centre. I am sure we will bring back a group of muddy, tired, enthusiastic children.

Stars have been chosen this week for their fantastic writing skills, excellent manners, being a role model for their peers and for showing resilience. Well done to all!
