After looking at local government in Barnsley, we will begin to look at how modern central government began all those years ago in Runnymede in 1215.
What can you tell me about the Magna Carta and how it changed England forever?

King John wrote the Magna Carta and the laws and signed it so the life would be fairer. So from that day on England has changed just a little bit. There are three copies left and they are kept in a water proof , fire proof and a brake in proof because if some one wanted to brake in because they are priceless. I loved this lesson I can not what for the up coming week xxx
the Magna Carta is important because they were the first ever rules in the country and there are 3 rules that are still around to this day and they are…
1.That the English church shall be free from royal interference. ⛪
2.To respect the rights and freedoms of the city of London and other towns and ports.
3.That no freeman shall be arrested or imprisoned without a proper trial.
King John really wrote 63 rules but we dont have them any more.
Thanks Mr Rob for teaching us that👍
The Magna Carta changed England forever because it was the first ever set of laws. It was created by the barons who were unhappy with cruel king John.It was intended to give the barons rights while still allowing king john to raise taxes.Unfortunately it didn’t help the peasants who were not free men.The Magna Carta was reissued several times over the 13th century to keep peace before it became part of English Law.
King John was a horrible and terrible man and did whatever he wanted and didn’t care about anybody at all. He signed the magna carta laws so life would be fairer. From that day on England has changed.Three laws are still last today
1) That the English church shall be free from Royal interference.
2)To respect the rights and freedoms of the city of London and other
towns and ports .
3)That no Freeman shall be attested or imprisoned with our proper trial
I’m sooooo looking forward to Tuesday afternoon and doing loads for about( magna cart)See you Tuesday😉xx
King john was the king who signed the Magna Carta.
King john was a evill guy in my eyes but some people may think hes nice but he does hide evil behind his eyes.
The magna carter is the first laws that were made in history
they still have 3 rules from back in the days.
Here is one of them
That no freeman should be arrested inprisoned without a proper trial.
The Magna Carta
There are still 3 Laws that king John made in the first ever laws which are
1.) That the English church shall be free from Royal interference.
2.) To respect the rights and freedoms of the city of London and other towns and ports.
3.) That no freeman shall be arrested or imprisoned with our a proper trial.

The Magna Carta was a charter agreed by King John of England 🏴 at Runnymede ,near Windsor, on 15 of June 1215.
First drafted by the Archbishop of Canterbury to make peace between an unpopular king and a group of rebel barons ,it promised the protection of church ⛪ rights . After John’s death, the regency government of his young son,Henry|||, reissued the document in 1216.
The Magna carter today has kept only 3 of its rules:
1. That the English Church shall be free from royal interference.
13. To respect the rights and freedoms of the City of London and other towns and ports.
39. That no freeman shall be arrested or imprisoned without a proper trial.
