Welcome to Hoyland Common Primary School! At HCPS, we believe that learning extends far beyond the classroom. That’s why we are proud to offer a wide array of diverse clubs that cater to the unique interests and passions of our students.
What is enrichment at HCPS?
Our structured lessons end at 3:15pm, this does not mean that our school day must end for our students at this time. We have a range of EXCITING, ENJOYABLE AND ENGAGING wider-curriculum enrichment activities and clubs for all students to participate in. Our club offerings are constantly evolving, updated half-termly to ensure that there’s always something new and exciting to explore. We are committed to nurturing the spirit of curiosity and aspirations in our students, encouraging them to reach for the stars
Sessions last from 3:15pm to 4:15pm. Mrs Berry, organises a wide range of enrichment activities. For school run clubs, to support the resourcing of these enriching extracurricular activities, we ask for a weekly fee of £1.00 for each club. Our club offer is shared in the HCPS Weekly Bulletin at the beginning of each half term, if you would like to sign your child up to an after school club please log into the Arbor app.
Why should you attend our enrichment activities?
Sporting, Cooking, Reading are all key skills for the mindfulness and wellbeing of our pupils. Some children thrive from staying active or feel at home when they sit with a book and read in a familiar place. At Hoyland Common, we regularly update and change our after school activities to ensure that we are providing our children with new experiences that they may not be able to access at another school in the borough.
After school activities are AMAZING opportunities for children to meet new people and make new friends with other children that share the same interests.
Who can attend our enrichment activities?
After school activities are open to EVERYONE! We plan enrichment activities for all Key Stages, making them open for Reception, Year 1 & 2 and Years 3, 4, 5 and 6.
Some of our activities such as Football training are specifically targeted at individual year groups or key stages and this information will be shared with relevant children.
