HCPS – Parent Questionnaire

The Governors would like to say a very big thank you to everyone for their responses and comments following this year’s Parent Questionnaire.

Overall we are delighted to report that in excess of 95% of responses confirmed that the school is providing not only an excellent education but is also giving strong pastoral and holistic support to all the children within their care.

“Tom thoroughly enjoys attending HCPS and I as a parent couldn’t wish for him to be at a better school”.

“Overall we, as parents, are very satisfied with HCPS”.

“My child enjoys school and has a good circle of friends”.

“After recent transition to HCPS our daughter has been welcomed and supported well to settle in”.

“I am very happy with all the support I and my child have received from school”.

“My child loves coming to school.  I know he feels safe and is happy but, if he had a problem I know he could comfortably approach any member of staff for help”.

“Excellent school with great teachers and staff – 10/10”.

“My daughter is so happy at school and, any issues I have had have been dealt with promptly”.

“My son is very happy at school and I as a parent am proud to say our son attends HCPS”.

“HCPS is an amazing school that I would highly recommend”

“The staff are motivated and are all working together to ensure that children fulfill their potential”.

It would however appear that some parents are either unsure or unhappy in relation to how the school promotes anti-bullying policy and the school will be looking to share further information with parents in relation to anti-bulling in the near future.  All children have completed a range of circle time and assemblies to help to understand the types of bullying and who in school they can talk to if they are concerned about any issue. More activities including some KS1 sessions with a theatre group are planned in for the remainder of the year. However in the recent pupil voice questionnaire 92.8% of pupils said no, they don’t think there is any bullying in school.  “If there is any bullying in school a teacher, staff or Mr Banham will sort it out” Chloe (Y3).  “School do a very good job of stopping bullying” Amber (Y6).

We will be holding workshops and discussion groups for parents after the Easter holidays but, it is important to remember that your child’s teacher, Mr Banham and the Senior Leadership team are always available for you to discuss any issues or concerns you have in relation to your child.
