We have just arrived at the end of another fantastic week at Hoyland Common Primary School and once again children have been learning about a wide variety of subjects. Pupils are now getting really stuck in to their topics and I’m convinced that we’re going to have some absolute experts in all sorts of fields by the end of term.

Once again the stars of the week were celebrated in assembly today and it was great to see the range of reasons children were selected, particularly pleasing was how many children were selected because of their attitudes to learning or how polite and well mannered they are.

Today it was great to see so many children from other schools taking part in the KS1 cross country event. Well done to all who took part and thank you to all the other schools that attended.

Look out for Louis Bailey on the front of this weeks edition of the Hoyland Barnsley Chronicle celebrating his Christmas stamp entry that has reached the regional finals.

Attendance this week was 97% and a huge well done to Miss Hayward’s class for 100% attendance.

Next week we have a rounders match against West Meadows Primary to look forward too and please do come along to the MacMillan Coffee Morning on Friday, 27th of September.

As always my office door is open if you have any worries or concerns, or please come and see me on the playground before school.
