I’ve decided to visit Brazil next, and visit the rainforest One of my friends back home sent me this soundtrack that was recorded in there, it sounds as if it will be really exciting. The only thing is I’m not sure what it might be like and I’m feeling a bit worried. I wonder if you could blog me some descriptions so that I know what to expect when I get there.

I might feel brave in the rainforest because there might be some wild animals and I’d have to sneak past them.
Hi Lewis, Callum and Jacob. I thought there might be lots of wild animals so I’ve booked a guide to make sure I don’t get lost in the rainforest. I’ve also bought some camouflage clothing so that I can hide in the bushes and stay safe.

Try not to be scared because there will not be any supermarkets, cars or toy shops just trees . There is no tarmac just insects and boulders – thats all you get.
Thank you Jacob. I’ll look out for the insects, I’m sure I’ll be able to hire a jeep to get down the tracks in the jungle. Thank you for telling me that there won’t be any supermarkets, I’ll remember to stock up on food before I set off. I’ll be in contact again soon.

There might be toucans and parrots. I think there might be some wild animals and monkeys. You will need binoculars and a tent to sleep in and you should learn how to make a fire.
Good advice Lola. I’ve got my binoculars ready so I can see the wildlife, I’ve always wanted to see a toucan. I’ve got a tent and mosquito nets to keep the insects out. Do you think there will be any people in the rainforest? If there are I wonder what their homes will be like?
I think you will see the Amazon rIver and the big damp leaves hanging from the trees.
I love your description of the big, damp leaves hanging from the trees Kate. You’ve used some really effective adjectives. I hope to see the Amazon river, someone told me it’s the longest river in the world, is that true?
I will like it in the jungle because they might be friendly animals there. I might not like it there because they might be wild animals there and they might be nasty.
It might be scary in the rain forest cos there might be some wild animals. It’s a good idea to get some camoflaged clothes so that they cannot see you. If you meet some of the local people you might be able to visit their village and see how they live, that would be amazing. There might be some huge boulders so watch where you are treading. Hope you have a good trip

I’m hoping to visit one of the villages in the rainforest. I’ve heard that some of the trees are being cut down and the people who live there are worried that if too many are cut down the animals will leave or die. What do you think might happen? Do you know what it is called when lots of trees are cut down?
If you meet a villager they will speak a different language .
I will feel a bit strange in a rainforest. there are lots of tall trees and animals.
