A rhyme about anything!
A rhyme is where we repeat a sound, often at the end of a line in a poem to try and add a rhythm or abit of music to the spoken word.
They can be great fun. And don’t really need to be sensible or have any other reason than enjoying creating them. Here is my quick go in tribute to today’s trip.
Today we went forth to Weston park museum,
The front looked just like an ancient colosseum.
Once inside we couldn’t believe our eyes,
Like the Tardis it seemed ten times it’s size.
The exhibits provided us all with so much fun,
I can’t wait till November and our turn to come.
But before then there is a lot of work to do,
Our museum will be just as good…
…too.
Have a go at some rhymes. It can be about anything. Have fun!
And well done Year 4s you were all super stars and represented the school perfectly on today’s visit to Western Park Museum.

Jack
I walked into the museum with a pain in my tummy.
Walked past the exhibits and saw a big mummy.
I saw my mate Ben and I said “Hey ho!”
He shouted “Where you going?” and I said ‘To see the pharaoh.”
A group of boys dressed in Egyptian clothes,
Brains getting pulled out of a persons nose
All the other groups were looking at the tomb
Me and my group were in the opposite room.
Working out the answers for the quiz
And now I’ve been to the museum I’m an Egyptian wiz.
