Well it is the final day of what has been a very long half term but a very successful one. It has been great to see children engaged and enjoying such a wide range of learning opportunities and seeing some of the fantastic outcomes they have produced from mystery stories, to news reports, letters to famous people and poetry, a great range of maths puzzles and problems, archeological digs, thefts and lost back packs.
Again a wide range of trips and visits have taken place, including sporting activities and events, a great win for the Hoyland area team against a Bradford select 11, cross country and rounders. Visits to the library and to Weston Park Museum. On top of this all the during and after school clubs including, cookery, young voices, Shakespeare and multi skills.
A big thank you needs to be said to all of the pupils and parents for their continued efforts on attendance and I am pleased to be able to say that this half terms attendance is a fantastic 97%, let’s keep this up for next half term!
The final stars of the week for this term have shown their best efforts in literacy and numeracy and showing fantastic effort in all areas of school to name but a few things. Well done to you all.
So I hope you enjoy the half term holiday and am looking forward to hearing what exciting things you all have been doing on your return, keep safe over Halloween and Bonfire night. Please don’t forget to complete your reading records and homework over the holidays. See you all in a week.
