It has been another busy week at Hoyland Common Primary School, this week has been assessment week and I have been incredibly impressed with the effort of every child in relation to their assessments. I am really looking forward to seeing the progress they have made.
Children in Year 6 have attended ‘Crucial Crew’ at the Lifewise Centre, here they find out about how to keep themselves safe in a wide range of different scenarios including fire safety at home, bus safety, road safety and basic first aid to name just a few.
I would also like to say a huge thank you for your support of Children in Need day where a whole host of activities have taken place to raise money for what is a fantastic cause, buns have been sold, children have come in pyjamas and fancy dress, there has been face painting and even a disco, and as soon as all the money has been counted I will let you know just how much we have raised.
Letters for parents evening have gone out today so please get your appointments booked and find out how your child has done so far this year, and am sure it will be very positive. Finally again a big thank you for your continued efforts on attendance, this weeks has been 98.5% with 6 classes having 100% attendance.
As ever if you have any issues or concerns please do not hesitate to contact me.
