Today Mrs Harrison’s class examined in more detail the role of Caliban in The Tempest. This character is the subhuman child of the malevolent witch, Sycorax and has lived alone on the island for sometime.
We continued to improvise the first meeting between Prospero, Miranda and Caliban. I was so impressed with all the ideas and different approaches to the characters. I look forward to sharing our scenes with the rest of the class next week and will also share some photographs soon afterwards.
