The start of our summer term has already seen multiple intra-house sports tournaments, an intra-school football friendly and a fantastic variety of PE lessons(fencing, orienteering, athletics, tennis and hockey would be mentioning but a handful of these).
And the best is yet to come. The school has a wide variety of intra-house sports tournaments planned for all ages, there will also be the chance for pupils to represent the school in the many inter-school sporting competitions that have been arranged by Mr Hardy, the KS1 and KS2 sports days will be held as always, the very popular golf week is booked in once again, our Y6 will be challenging themselves in the Y6 bike ride as well as challenging the staff to a variety of sports AND… HCPS will be running its first ‘Lets Get Active’ event. Where for 2 full days pupils will get to take part in a wide selection of sports and learn about the importance of being active and leading a healthy lifestyle. Watch this space!
We also want to keep hearing from you about the sports you are taking part in outside of school. So keep us updated!

Elliot
On Monday we played a cricket match against Upper Haugh. We played at home which is Rockingham colliery cricket club. I bowled two people out and on my first bowl somebody ran them out and that counted as my wicket.
Overall we won the match by over 70 runs. The best thing was I got joint man of the match with Harry Ambler (That is the first time I have been awarded the man of the match!) From school there was Jacob Rourke (Who I batted with) , Mathew Eyre and Ryan Whitehouse (Who was the wicketkeeper). I really enjoyed this match, it was the best I have ever played.
