A huge thank you to our wonderful school community for supporting Williams Syndrome Awareness Day. It was super to see all the children dressed in a rainbow of colours. The day started with an assembly and a big thank you to Lauren’s Mum, Katherine, for speaking to the whole school about Lauren and Williams Syndrome. The School Council did a fantastic job of organising various activities for the children to take part in including a cake sale, sporting activities, a loom band sale and producing posters to advertise the day. Throughout school children were involved in awareness raising activities all day. The raffle will be drawn on Monday morning and the winning ticket numbers will be published on the school blog and on posters around school. Prizes can be collected from the office. Photographs were taken for publication in The Sheffield Star and the Barnsley Chronicle. We will also make everyone aware of the grand total as soon as the money has been counted.
