Never before have we set such a challenging end of year bike ride for our Y6 pupils and I am very proud to say every one of the pupils taking part today stepped up to meet that challenge. Not only did they fly from Dunforde Bridge to the Old Moor RSPB bird sanctuary they did it with the flare we expect of HCPS pupils.
With a final distance covered of over 23 miles, some exceptionally tough hills and rather tricky terrain, this group of children have impressed every adult supervising them today. Along the whole route we witnessed pupils being courteous and polite to each other and to other users of the route. Children regularly encouraged and helped anyone who needed it and all the while they soldiered on towards our final destination with minimal fuss and a huge amount of effort.
I hope you all thoroughly enjoyed it! I know I did!
