Throughout this week we have been investigating different social class statements and facts, deciding whether we agree with them and supporting our answers. Today we have used our debating skills to argue as to which social class should have had priority to board the lifeboats.
All children have been treated as different classes this week in order to really empathise with the people who were on board The Titanic.
Are there any further opinions you wish to put forward Class 12?
I really liked the debate because you got to say your own opinions and why you should go on the lifeboats first.??
I think that just because 3rd class is not like 2nd and 1st doesn’t mean that we can’t aboard the lifeboats first. I think we should aboard the lifeboats first because we need to experience life more and have a better life in New York.
I rally liked doing the debate because you could say your own opinion. I think that all people could sit on the life boats together.

I really liked the debate because you got to say your own opinions and why you should go on the lifeboats first and not why the 1st class people go first and then the 2nd but the 3rd class have to wait behind and probably swim to the closest area!!

I really liked the debate because you got to say your own opinion in class. Why should 1st class go first they were born into wealth and it’s not fair we are poor in my opinion 2nd class should go first because they work for that ticket onto Titanic ?

When Amelia did the debate she couldn’t stop talking about it.
Amelia was extremely enthusiastic in class too! She is really good at listening to her peer’s opinions and sharing her own.
I think that 3rd class should go first because 1st class were born into wealth and most of them didn’t work but a few of them worked a little bit. Also 3rd class should have been treated the same way as 1st and2nd class because people are all humans and should be treated the same way.I also feel sorry for all the people on the Titanic that died because the people who were responsible for the fire on the ship just let it go not bothering about all the people who might die.???
