KS2 children need to use the picture as a stimulus for their writing but are limited to 150 words! Think about using your words wisely!KS1 children need to use the picture as a prompt for 5 sentences.It is up to each child what they write, it could be fiction or non-fiction, story or poetry. Whatever inspires you will be published!Entries will be accepted and approved through the blog on each class page. If you do not have access to the internet at home KS2 children can post their entry during homework club on Tuesday lunchtime. KS1 children without internet access can write out their entry for their class teacher to post on their behalf. There will be a prize for the best entry in each year group!The closing date for entries will be Thursday 27th June.

Tiptoeing through the deep, dark, murky forest in the fog. Breathing in the sweet smell of victory as I set off on my latest quest to find the thing I have been searching for the last fifty years. It was called a five toed Slimy Steward. The Slimy Steward is the only rare disgusting creature left on earth. Strolling through the sensational forest I saw the strangest thing. Sprouting up for the naked eye to see, it was a black berry tree. Strangely as I walked through the mountainous land I passed a man called Peter who was picking black berries. I asked him if he knew where to find the Steward and he replied “You will find it in the Jungle River Thames.” I stood there with curiosity for a moment then set back off on my adventurous journey.
