Another fantastic week of learning at HCPS…

In KS1 we have celebrated the arrival of six chicks that have recently hatched. Please visit the class blog to see them in action! In lower KS2, pupils have been practising their fencing skills in PE and have been busy rehearsing for their Easter Eggs-travaganza  performance in the new term. Pupils in upper KS2 have been busy using their ICT skills to  finalise their Middle earth ‘app’ designs, which will be  ready for publication soon.

Once again, we have had pupils from each class who, through their hard work and enthusiasm, have been chosen as stars of the week by their class teacher. Pupils have been selected this week for setting a good example when outside of their own classroom and for being a positive role model for other pupils. Well done!

We have had another sports packed week at Hoyland Common. This afternoon, our Y5/6 girls are representing the school football team at Greenfield, and later this evening, Y5/6 girls and boys will be taking part in at basketball match at the EIS before the Sheffield Sharks game.

I am sure that our Year 4 pupils are excited about the upcoming residential visit to Sherwood next week. The pupils will be taking part in a variety of fun packed challenges including bike riding and orienteering!

I would also like to take this opportunity to say thank you for all the wonderful comments I heard over the parents’ evenings and I am really looking forward to our final week of learning before the Easter Holidays.
