It has been a fantastic first week back at Hoyland Common Primary School. It was great to see so many children excited and enthused about coming back to School and starting their new classes.

Children have really enjoyed the introductions to their new topics, please do have a look at their class blogs and newsletters on the website. We have an exciting term coming up with a variety of trips and activities, residential visits and a whole host of clubs starting next week.

We have had a number of new staff joining the Hoyland Common Primary School team this year, please do make the time to introduce yourselves to them and don’t feel as though you have to wait until parent’s evenings to discuss your child’s education with them.  

As ever I would like to remind you about the importance of attendance, last year the schools attendance was fantastic and I don’t think that it is a coincidence that the school subsequently saw some of its best results ever. So let’s start the year as we mean to go on with continued excellent attendance and this week’s attendance was a great 97.4%
