Today we received a parcel from Hans. It contained lots of artefacts to help us work out where he is. Can you describe some of them? What do you think they were used for? Do they give us any more clues about where Hans is?

Thank you for blogging. I’m glad my parcels arrived safely. I thought you might enjoy looking at the artefacts. Do you think you could have a go at describing some of them? I bet you can come up with lots of adjectives to describe them.
Carry on looking for clues to work out where I am. I’m not telling yet.
Hello Hans I am going to ask you some questions is that alright. What is the food like where you live? Where do you buy your food?
It was exciting to open the boxes you sent. The writing on the pennies was so small. They looked really old.
The oval black things were so heavy and they looked like bugs. What are they called?
I think you are in Egypt too.
Hi year 2. Sorry I’ve been a bit slow replying to your questions but I’ve been trekking across the desert on a camel to visit the Valley of the Kings. It was amazing. Blake I love the pyramids too. I went to visit some last week. Alfie the writing has a special name, it’s called hieroglyphics. I bet if you look on the internet you can work out how to use it to write your name. Yes Evan I do have some sandal they help keep my feet cool. Lucy I buy my food from the market. The heavy metal bugs are called Scarab beetles they are very special to the people who live here.
Have to go now. Hans.

The objects were very strange and some were weird shapes and we drew some of them. It was hard to draw them. One of them was tall and it had lots of patterns on it and I also liked the penny you sent us. It was very difficult to draw because I drew it and I did the writing that was on the top of it. I think you are from Egypt Hans? Is this correct?
